This is XiTang. About 1 hour's drive from Shanghai. Beautiful town... One of those places where everyone lives and works along the canals. We had dinner at the restaurant pictured here on the right. They had pictures of Tom Cruise visiting the restaurant when filming ( I think it's MI3).The 3rd picture is one of my favourites. I had wanted to send this for comptetition and maybe have it enlarged and framed.
4th picture...an old man selling 'soy beancurd'. He sells both the sweet and salty version.

although i've seen these before, i must say this again: what a quaint bootiful old town.
Sending in your 3rd picture for competition ok lah, but for enlargement/framing - I thought it looks a bit too bleak and sad - the picture is grey and grey is not a happy colour. I suppose it stirs more negativity, which I don't think you need.
That is why it is a winning picture, the bleakness and the simplicity the picture portrayed. You have done really well capturing the mood and great picture composition.
I also like your first picture, the picture has captured the night scene beautifully. Very calming and didn't look busy. Great shot!
